How your balance works
Your balance is kept in US dollars. Once your plan's weekly quota is used up, it pays for the models included in your plan and for extra Agent Cloud hours. Topping up requires an active subscription, and the amount lands on your account right away.
The same rate in every package
Every package adds exactly its price to your balance: $10 adds $10.00, $50 adds $50.00 and $100 adds $100.00. A bigger package is a bigger balance, not a better rate, so pick whichever size suits how often you top up.
Credited as soon as the payment clears
Stripe confirms the charge and the amount is added immediately — there is no review step and nothing to claim. The balance shown at the top of this page is your live figure once you are signed in.
Spent after your weekly quota is used up
With an active subscription, your balance takes over once the weekly quota is used up: it pays for the models included in your plan (Claude and GPT models at 1.25× list price, other plan models at list price) and for Agent Cloud hours beyond your tier. Without a subscription the balance cannot be spent; it stays on your account and becomes usable as soon as you subscribe.

The History tab on this page lists each recharge with its amount and status, so you can reconcile what you bought against your card statement.
You can use your own API key instead
PandaNpc also runs on an account you own, with or without a subscription. Add an OpenAI-compatible provider in Model Configuration with your own API key and Base URL, and requests go to that endpoint instead of ours — your provider bills you directly and nothing is deducted from your balance. This is the usual setup for a company gateway, a private proxy, or a local model server such as Ollama or LM Studio.

A subscription is what gives the account its plan models: it sets how many devices stay connected at the same time and includes a weekly model quota. Your balance supplements that quota: once the quota is used up, plan model usage and extra Agent Cloud hours are billed from your balance until the quota resets. A balance on its own does not unlock any models; it is kept and becomes usable once you subscribe.

When does the balance arrive?
As soon as Stripe confirms the payment. If the balance still looks unchanged, reload the page — the header reads your live balance rather than a cached one.
Which payment methods are supported?
Credit and debit cards through Stripe, covering Visa, MasterCard and JCB.
Do I need a balance to use PandaNpc?
No. Free models work without a balance, and any signed-in account can configure its own OpenAI-compatible provider and API key in Model Configuration: requests go to that endpoint, your provider bills you and nothing is deducted from your balance. A balance is only used by subscribers after their weekly quota is used up.
Is subscribing the same as topping up?
No. A subscription gives you the plan models, sets how many devices can be connected at once and includes a weekly model quota. Your balance only pays for usage after that quota is used up, and it cannot be used or topped up without an active subscription.
