PandaNpc for iOS is a client for checking on and steering remote coding-agent sessions from your phone. The coding still happens on a connected host — a PandaPaw machine or another PandaNpc client — the iOS app gives you a pocket-sized way to read progress, answer a question, or approve a tool call when you are away from a desk.
Use it when you started a Claude Code, Codex, or PandaCode session elsewhere and want to keep an eye on it, respond to an approval prompt while out, or capture a quick note without opening a laptop.
What the app does
- Session viewing and interaction for Claude Code, Codex, and PandaCode sessions running on a connected host.
- Tool approvals and question answers from a mobile-friendly interface, so a session does not have to wait until you are back at a computer.
- Push notifications for approval requests and completed work, configurable per project.
- PandaNote for notes, voice input, and quick capture that syncs with the same account you use everywhere else.
- Account and membership management — subscribe, check your plan and renewal date, or cancel, all inside the app.
The iOS app does not run a coding agent itself. It is a viewing and control surface for sessions executing on a host you already have configured — install PandaPaw on that machine first if you have not already.
Getting started
- Install PandaNpc from the App Store.
- Sign in with the same account used on your other PandaNpc clients.
- Open Connected Devices from any client to confirm a host is online, or follow Install PandaNpc and PandaPaw if you have not set one up.
- Start or open a session from any client — it appears in the iOS app under the same account.
Notifications
Approval requests and session updates can arrive as push notifications. Notifications are scoped to sessions tied to your account; review the permission prompt on first launch and adjust delivery per project from the app's settings if you want a quieter phone during focus time.
Security boundaries
The same rules apply here as on every PandaNpc client: a session can exercise whatever tools and working directory the connected host permits, and approving a tool call on your phone has the same effect as approving it anywhere else. Troubleshooting
No sessions appear after signing in
Confirm you signed in with the same account as the client that started the session, and that the host machine is online in Connected Devices. A session tied to an offline host will not show new activity until that host reconnects.
Notifications are not arriving
Check that notifications are allowed for PandaNpc in iOS Settings, and that the specific project or connection is not muted inside the app. A locked phone in Low Power Mode can also delay delivery.
The app shows an older version than expected
Check the iOS version history to confirm what shipped and when, then update from the App Store if a newer version is available. iOS updates go through Apple's review process, so a fix may exist before it reaches your device.
